COOKIES LAW
A new law on cookies demands that you, as a website user, are given the opportunity to understand how cookies are used on our websites and consent to cookies being stored on your computer (laptop/mobile/tablet).
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small text file, typically of letters and numbers, downloaded to your computer when you access websites. Typically, they contain the following information: a site name and unique user ID, the duration of the cookie's abilities and effects, and a random number. As a rule, cookies cannot be used to reveal your identity or personally identifying information.
When you visit a website that uses cookies for the first time, a cookie is downloaded onto your computer. The next time you visit that website, your computer checks to see if it has a cookie that is relevant and sends the information contained in that cookie back to the website. The website then notes that you have been there before, and in some cases, tailors what pops up on screen to take account of that fact. They also might record how long you spend on each page on a site, what links you click, even your preferences for page layouts and colour schemes.
Generally, the role of cookies is beneficial, making your interaction with frequently-visited sites smoother with no extra effort on your part. Without cookies, online shopping would be much harder. Without cookies, some websites will become less interactive with the cookie option turned off.
MOST COMMON COOKIES
Session cookies
These cookies expire when you close your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome). These cookies are used for various reasons, for example, remembering what you have put in your shopping basket as you browse a website. They can also be used for security to access your Internet banking or email.
Persistent cookies
These cookies are still stored on your computer after you have closed your web browser which allows your preferences on websites to be remembered. These cookies are used for a variety of purposes, for example, remembering your preferences on a website (your language choice or your user name on a particular website).
First and Third Party cookies
This refers to the website placing the cookie. First party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting. Third party cookies are set by another website; the website you are visiting may have advertising on the page and this other website will be able to set a cookie on your computer. Third party cookies on the main web browsers allow third party cookies by default. Changing the settings on your browsers can prevent this.
Exceptions
There are some exemptions to the above where it is essential for a website to store information on your computer, for example, to provide a service to you that you have requested.
OUR USE OF COOKIES
We use cookies to improve your experience on our website. We also use cookies to understand your usage of our website.

the tyred flooring company

The Tyred Flooring Company provides innovative colourful rubber floor products manufactured from recycled rubber car tyres.

The Tyred Flooring Company prides itself on its key knowledge of the flooring industry. We are flooring specialists with over 60 years of industry knowledge proudly partnering exclusively in the UK with Dinoflex.

The Tyred Flooring Company confidently works with architects and designers to achieve specifications that satisfy the LEED BREEAM and SKA criteria, hopefully doing our bit for the environment too.

Dinoflex specialises in producing premium quality recycled rubber flooring, exterior tiles and custom products. Dinoflex constantly seeks innovative ways to minimize environmental impact. Up to 90 per cent of Dinoflex flooring consists of recycled, post-consumer tyre rubber. Dinoflex is an original member of the US Green Building Council and Canadian Green Building Council. Dinoflex is a proud recipient of the ClimateSmart seal, and is an active LEAN Corporation Consortium member. More >>>

Dinoflex chooses to recycle used rubber rather than manufacture new material, using recycled tyres also keeps them out of landfill and saves the natural resources that would otherwise be consumed to produce new raw materials. The Green Specification Guide states that ‘from an environmental standpoint, post -consumer is preferable to pre-consumer recycled content because post-consumer recycled materials are more likely to be diverted from landfills. Rubber Flooring made from recycled automobile tyres is a good example.’ In addition ‘products with exceptional durability or low maintenance requirements are environmentally attractive as they need to be replaced less frequently and their maintenance has very low impact’. Dinoflex Recycled Rubber Flooring is virtually maintenance free. The Tyred Flooring Company and Dinoflex can help you qualify for credits in the following LEED criteria – Sustainable sites, Materials and Resource, Indoor Air Quality, Innovation and Design. Please see our Guide

Dinoflex products are manufactured to perform in almost any location or application. Perhaps most traditionally seen in gyms and fitness areas, the colours and thicknesses mean that the range can be used for various applications. The inherent qualities of recycled rubber lend themselves to high traffic areas and areas where a higher level of underfoot comfort and acoustics is required. Manufactured from post-consumer waste, or simply used car tyres, in the form of rubber crumb, flooring from Dinoflex has a natural random appearance, representative of the organic properties within the product. It is important to keep in mind that this product is constructed from a product that has come to the natural end of its life, and through innovation and research has been recreated to produce one of the most environmentally friendly flooring products on the market today. Rubber flooring comes in all manner of options but recycled rubber flooring from Dinoflex is premium quality recycled rubber flooring that lasts.
The Resilient Floor Covering Institute, in collaboration with Scientific Certification Systems, developed FloorScore to test and certify hard surface flooring products for compliance with precise indoor air quality emissions requirements. Individual volatile organic compounds are evaluated using health-based specifications. Products bearing the FloorScore label meet their indoor air emissions criteria.
